Finding a Rabbi for your child’s bar/bat mitzvah

It’s one thing for your child to learn Hebrew, and lessons from the Hebrew Bible, and how to chant Torah and Haftarah – that’s what Jewtor does. But then you need a Rabbi for the big day itself, someone able to travel to you (or your destination bar/bat mitzvah). Jewtor is pleased to announce that we’re partnering with Rabbi Jason Miller, who specializes in just this. (We can also recommend rabbis for bar/bat mitzvah ceremonies in Israel – our families who have done bar/bat mitzvahs in Israel have been wowed, and rightly so.)

Rabbi Jason Miller has become known nationally as “The Mitzvah Rabbi.” For almost 20 years, Rabbi Jason has been officiating private bar mitzvah and bat mitzvah ceremonies. Rabbi Jason believes that each Jewish teen is unique and deserves to have a Bar or Bat Mitzvah that’s appropriate for them. While most congregations offer the same exact service for each bar or bat mitzvah, Rabbi Jason customizes the service based on the ability of the teen and the expectations of the family. Rabbi Jason has created hundreds of bar and bat mitzvah ceremonies for Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Orthodox and Secular families.

Rabbi Jason specializes in Special Needs Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies. More information about bar and bat mitzvahs, Havdalah services, Destination celebrations, and adult Bar and Bat Mitzvahs can be found on The Mitzvah Rabbi website at
