Finding a Bar/Bat Mitzvah Rabbi

How do you find a bar/bat mitzvah rabbi or cantor for your child’s big day?

It’s one thing for your child to learn Hebrew, and lessons from the Hebrew Bible, and how to chant Torah and Haftarah – that’s what Jewtor does. And some of our tutors can also come to officiate as the rabbi or cantor for your child. This is a great way to build upon the learning experience with a tutor that your child already knows.

Especially if there’s travel involved, some of our families have capped their child’s great learning experience with Jewtor by making arrangements for a bar/bat mitzvah rabbi able to travel to you (or your destination bar/bat mitzvah). Jewtor is pleased to announce that we’re partnering with Rabbi Jason Miller, who specializes in just this. (We can also recommend rabbis for bar/bat mitzvah ceremonies in Israel – some of our families have done bar/bat mitzvahs in Israel, and it’s a great experience!)

For almost 20 years, Rabbi Jason has been officiating private bar mitzvah and bat mitzvah ceremonies appropriate for them. Rabbi Jason customizes the service based on the ability of the teen and the expectations of Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Orthodox and Secular families.
